Manze steps in at Gewandhaus

Andrew Manze steps in to replace Sir John Eliot Gardiner this week conducting the Gewandhaus Orchestra in the opening concerts of Leipzig’s Mendelssohn-Festtage. The Monteverdi Choir and soloists including Lucy Crowe, Jurgita Adamonytė and Michael Spyres will sing Psalm 42 “Wie der Hirsch schreit” and the Symphony-Cantata “Lobgesang”. Details here.
