Bruckner and Beethoven with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

Andrew Manze will conduct the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (RLPO) in Bruckner Symphony No.4 on 6 February. The performance will see Manze guide the orchestra through the evocative symphony, as well as Haydn’s Symphony No.90.

Manze will then conduct Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis on 15 February. He will lead the RLPO and choir through Beethoven’s spiritual and deeply personal masterpiece.

Later in the month, Manze will conduct the NDR Radiophilharmonie in Bruckner Symphony No.7 in the Kuppelsaal, Hannover on 20 February.

“It is always a great pleasure with the NDR Radiophilharmonie to work on Bruckner’s symphonies because we all have love for this music. But the orchestra isn’t burdened by an inherited Bruckner tradition. Many of these traditions… did not develop until after Bruckner’s death, for a variety of reasons.” (translated, Andrew Manze)
